Huset Momentum is a SEL § 110 shelter approved by the Social Supervisory Board with room for 12 residents.
The shelter offers temporary residence pursuant to SEL § 110 for men and women between 18-65 years without active substance abuse.
In the event that a resident has one or more psychiatric diagnoses, the individual must be undergoing an ongoing treatment programme or have agreed to commence a treatment programme.
Residents must be self-sufficient and able to evacuate the building on their own in the event of a fire or other emergency. Residents who require support for evacuation cannot be admitted.
Examples of the target group’s complex social challenges prior to admission:

Social problems (e.g. previous substance abuse, mental health difficulties, financial debt, criminal history)

Reduced capacity to manage life in their own home (lost housing)

Have no fixed address and are staying e.g. on the street, with friends, in a shelter, or in temporary solutions

Often have experience with long-term homelessness or institutional stays

Often have complex social problems possibly combined with mental illness and/or substance abuse (dual diagnoses)

May be young adults, middle-aged or older – often with longer social histories behind them
-
Unstable childhood or adolescence with associated trauma issues

Lack of network and support
