Momentum Kbh is a dedicated shelter in Frederiksberg that offers temporary support and care to young people between the ages of 18 and 35. Our team consists of experienced professionals with a passion for creating change and momentum in people’s lives within the social, health, and employment fields.

Our approach is based on a holistic method that prioritises “Housing First” principles, where we believe that a stable home is the foundation for a better future. We create safety and security and support personal and social development through empathy, care, and individually tailored housing support.

Our mission is to be a safe haven for our residents and to create an inclusive and secure environment where they can rebuild their lives and work towards a lasting, stable, and independent existence.
4. How do you approach health?
We promote residents’ physical and mental health through safety and security, as well as by offering activities such as exercise, Walk & Talk sessions, and weekly resident meetings that strengthen their well-being.
5. What is the significance of empowerment in your work?
Empowerment is central to our approach. We strengthen our residents by giving them tools and resources to take control of their own lives, build self-esteem and confidence, and take responsibility for their personal goals and actions.
6. How do you connect residents to necessary resources and services?
We work purposefully to connect residents to the necessary resources and services that can help them achieve a lasting and stable life. This includes individually tailored housing support as well as lectures and information evenings.
7. How can one apply for temporary accommodation at Momentum Kbh?
If you are between 18 and 35 years old and acutely homeless, you can apply for temporary accommodation with us. We will first conduct an initial conversation and assessment to determine whether you are suited for activating support in accordance with Section 110 of the Social Services Act.
8. How are residents involved in daily life?
At the shelter, all residents share responsibility for lighter tasks such as cleaning, washing up, and communal cooking 1–2 times per week. This is called ADL (Activities of Daily Living), and it contributes to creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
